Chianti comes in all shapes and sizes and styles. Traditional; modern; good; bad; odd; seductive. Sometimes it is a real lottery.
The Castellare di Castellina, though young, is bang on for beginning to drink now. Earthy, woody, dark fruit flavours.
It is a real nod to the traditionalists where the Sangiovese tastes like Sangiovese and not some chemical concoction.
