En Primeur
The Huntsworth Wine Co. are please to offer “En Primeur” for this year just as we have for previously great vintages. As a truly independent wine merhcant we are not obliged to offer a specific list of wines or growers and are able to offer a choice selection of wines that offer outstanding quality in the bottle. The big traditional merchants and brokers will offer most Bordeaux estates but we ruthlessly reduce our recommendations from perhaps a potential 300 wines to, for instance 75 wines in the phenomenal 2005, vintage; and to 41 wines in the beautiful left-bank vintage of 2003; yet not a single red wine in 1997.

The Sanity and Insanity that is the 2009 Vintage!
A few days ago saw the release of Château La Mission-Haut-Brion 2009 at £ 6,200 for a single case. The staggering thing is that there is no shortage of buyers at this ludicrous price. For those with more sense than money however we can offer a single case of each from twenty pretty renowned Bordeaux Estates (listed below) for the same price as just 1 La Mission Haut-Brion and you’ll still have change for lunch at Le Caprice!
