Bourgogne Rouge Mark Haisma, Gevrey-Chambertin
2007
Tiny production of a mere 300 Cases.
My first sip of this led me to think that it was merely o.k. Simple and direct. The longer I took with it, the more it grew in the glass.
Nice and chewy, plenty of flavour, earthy, fruity. This is real Burgundian Pinot Noir, untinkered with. Good on its own but good with food too.
As a starting point in Burgundy Mark Haisma's Borgogne is perfect for a mid-week supper.
Drinking now, but will coast a couple of years.
