Stag's Leap Arcadia Chardonnay, Napa Valley 2008

The reds have just become almost prohibitively expensive, thankfully the white (like Ridge Montebello) is significantly cheaper. For Californian Chardonnay there is little to no sign of heat. Fresh, leafy, minerally, grassy. A really clean and neat example with a bit of leanness, much as one would expect of a decent White Burgundy.
