We often host private & corporate tastings. These are totally tutored to your needs and we can accommodate up to 40 people (standing) here in the shop though 6-10 people prove to have the best atmosphere as one can sit comfortably around the same table.
The shop will be closed for your tasting from 7.30 p.m. onwards (be it 2 hours or 5 hours) and if for instance you are spending £50 a head you will have £50 worth of wine off the shelf.
We don’t in effect charge for these tastings, however, for example, a 2 hour tasting with an average spend per head of £40 and £60 and upwards for the entire evening means we do not feel the need to charge over and above the cost of the wines to host these tastings. This, of course, means you get particuarly good value as the equivalent wines enjoyed in a restaurant would most likely cost 3 times the amount.
We also have a tasting panel of renowned and multi-award winning wine writers such as Andrew Jefford and Michael Schuster who are available at their standard day-rate for the more academic minded. Nearby Heavenly Food, or the restaurants Kensington Place and Sally Clarke’s, amongst others, can provide appropriate food.
