Bordeaux-Burgundy-Provence-Bandol

Not quite sure how or why given the current weather but we have just ordered our second pallet of the Provence Rosé, Chateau des Chaberts. Bandol’s Domaine Tempier (the pinnacle of Rosé) due in I hopetomorrow. Nicolas Potel’s Bourgogne Rouge, hopefully next week.

Next Tuesday – LAST CALL for our Margaux Dinner at Sally Clarke’s. (Tuesday, 7th June)

Though we were potentially up to over 80 people, a staggering 23 people who originally said yes are now since diverted to Basel; California; Frankfurt; Geneva; Holland; New York; Warsaw and er, Northumberland, so we are now down to a “mere” 58 people. What a busy bunch you are. Though this is our biggest wine dinner thus far, the Restaurant still has reasonable scope for another dozen or two. So if you have any late interest; wish to add, on your own, own table; or can recommend someone, please do and I’ll give you the details of the menu; the line-up of wines; and the costing.

2015 En Primeur

After dreary weeks dragging by we are finally seeing some substance out of Bordeaux with the release of Gruaud-Larose; Rauzan-Ségla; Canon; Léoville-Poyferré. These include some of my absolute picks in the mid-band (£ 450-650) so those interested, do ask.
